Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor to join the team. This role will be full-time night shift 3x12 hour shifts per week, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Registered Nurse (RN) Unit Supervisor Job Responsibilities:
- Front line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Supports unit-based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.
- Role model who leads by example in delivering Service Always and in making Patient Experience a priority on unit(s) of responsibility. Seeks every opportunity to meet the unique needs of each person we are privileged to serve-every time, every touch. Ensures that care is patient-centered.
- Continually pursues activities that will ensure smooth clinical operations/flow and compliance with Inova's goals of providing safe, equitable, patient-centered, timely, efficient and effective care in a holistic and evidence-based practice environment. Values and promotes collegial working relationships within and among disciplines.

Additional Information:
- Work schedule: Full time nights, 3x12 hour shifts per week (7:00 p.m. – 7:00a.m.). Team members will be expected to work 3 weekend shifts in a 6 week scheduling period, 1 summer and 1 winter holiday.
- Required Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing OR Associate Degree RNs that are within one year of completing their BSN.
- Required Experience: A minimum of 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
- Required Certification: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) | Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | Specialty certification (as required by the unit) within one year of hire |Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employment
- Licensure Requirement: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- Preferred Qualifications: Candidates who have obtained their BSN. Two years of recent Labor and Delivery Experience in an inpatient setting. As well as experience as Charge on an inpatient Labor and Delivery unit.
